Come party like it's 1899! It's hops harvest time at McCollum Orchards. Join us AND Community Beer Works for a fun afternoon, on this historic, 180-year-old family farm, nestled in the City of Lockport, NY. We'll be hand harvesting Cascade hops the old fashioned way, just like they did a century ago.
You will get a tour of the hopsyard and our new hop "oast" (hops drying facility) made in an the century-old apple packing building. Best yet, Community Beer Works - the popular nanobrewery from Buffalo - will be here WITH their brew made with McCollum Orchards Centennial hops. They will demo dry hopping technique with fresh hops. We'll throw dogs on the BBQ and offer refreshments to make it a good ol' time!
